I am watching you!

Bubbles

You guys really helped to make a cool memory for the juniors today. They loved the bubbles that you shared with them. Some of your devices worked better than the shop made ones. Declan, you had a superb idea of making a transparent shield to protect the eyes from the popping soap. Brill.

Luke's Magic Liquid was spectacular for making the bigger bubbles and Wills Wonder Concoction helped to create many marvelous bubbles also.

I would love to know why these solutions worked so well. If you find out please let me know!

Try this, http://science.howstuffworks.com/water-quiz1.htm .
There are some curly questions but we have covered a lot of the material during the term.
Good Luck!

Water Work

Ta da, tomorrow we will be presenting our term's work about water. The day will end, of course, with a water war. These photos show some of the work in progress.

Free Poverty

http://www.freepoverty.com/ This challenging game has taken Room One by storm. Keep note of your high score and let me know when your score reaches new heights. It's great that we are helping people in need while we learn!

Count Down

The end of the year is so close. However, that is not an excuse for manners to slip and cruelty to begin. Let's keep being the groovy class we have been all year.
I am aware that we are all very tired and hot, therefore this week's homework was very simple AND it will be the last lot of homework for the year.
Please post suggestions on how we can make Natasha's last day at Pahoia amazing this Friday. It will be VERY sad to say goodbye to such a fab person. She will be pleased to speak French all day again though.

Estelle's camp reflection

I went to camp with 52 children and 12 adults, my favourite companions on camp were Georgia, my Dad, Shannon, Bianca, Amy, Rebecca, Saly and Lucy. They are my friends and I can cheer them up! The best adult helper was Lisa, she supplied the food and she was really funny!
One Tree Hill was fascinating on Wednesday because it has no tree. Ice skating was my highlight of this fascinating day. But Evianah broke her wrist and that's what put a downer on everyone. It was like a day at the Gold Coast which means it was FUN!
My everlasting memories of camp are that I beat my Dad at the luge, tree adventures, ice skating, Tip Top, Air Force Dogs and the camp concert. My dad fell asleep for the forth time in a row on Friday, that was pretty funny.

The camp thoughts of Douglas.

I learnt a lot at the different museums and on the scavenger hunt in the CBD. The funniest thing that happened on Tuesday was when the dog guy got bitten. It was a struggle to get to the top of Rangitoto but it was worth it because of the great view. The lava caves were awesome. We had a torch with us which helped us. I was in the 'beached' scene for the camp concert, it was hilarious. The best adult helper was Lisa because she cooked our dinners. I would like to try ice skating again.
