Water has been rather a cool topic for you guys to write about. I have been impressed with the mature and imaginative styles you have been using. Keep up the great work. I am sure that your teachers will be impressed next year. Here are some of your 'reflection' samples.
Shannon
The blinding sun forced itself onto a pond calmly swaying in the mild gust of wind. Then almost at the same time it bounces back and leaves behind an extravagant pale yellow reflection.
The cautious sun beams down on a diamond shaped pond. All is everything at this one moment. Then finally it came, the moment I had been waiting for, it shines and spreads around the pond then sits there like it was the most boring thing in the world. The image is breathtaking.
The ocean smoothly glides toward the shoreline where it breaks into fluffy foam. The sun peeps up behind a cloud and casually strikes the water. It looks picture perfect. It won't continue on forever but as long as it is here right now I can't complain.

1. The big green and moldy pines reflect as big as the lake and the sun make the reflection lighter than the real thing, fluffy white clouds hover in the back ground.
2. The rotting log reflects over the murky water. The flowers are less pink than the real thing.
3. The colourful flowers are hanging over the pond and looking at them and seeing a paler version of themselves in the weed full water.
Georgia
My friends and I were floating down the side of the river. There were boulders everywhere. Behind the boulders were their dark, gloomy shadows reflecting on the stream. It looked musty. When I touched it ripples formed and it disappeared.
Amy
I'm looking into a lake and I see a reflection of the popcorn clouds that swing side to side and a small orange butterfly flitting across the lake.
I also saw a silvery, glossy reflection of the side of a boat. I smelt the mossy cold rocks sitting in the calm relaxing lake. I could hear the sound of ducks quacking to each other. I felt the dirty smelly dust blow into my eyes.
Nicola
As Jamie and I walked our dog Zack I saw an amazing view of the sun in the river, it looked so warm and close that I wanted to touch it.
Lucy
The dense bush encompasses me like a blanket. I stand in a small clearing at the edge o the bush. The blue sky peeps through the magnificent trees into the clearing. There is a lake nearby which the sun burns down on making two suns as the reflection bounces off the lake. All I can hear is the rustling of the crisp Autumn leaves crunching beneath animals feet. I can smell the crushed pine and the freshly cut grass in the farmers paddock next door.
Douglas
The reflection on the water half blinded me, I could smell the air. I could hear the waves splashing on the sand.
One morning I saw a dazzling reflection on the water, it looked like glass.
Sally
The sunset floating on top of the water made a fuzzy reflection in the relaxed, calm water.
I remember the swift calm and clear blue water in Fiji and seeing the reflection of my smiling face looking at the colourful fish merging like a speeding car at the speedway.
Adam
I look into the water trough and see my reflection and it is moving.
Luke
The Hose
Fine drops of water floated gently to the ground.
The hazy image of the rainbow wafted in the air.
The rainbow dissolves.
Water drops cease.
The Pool
Glittering in the sunlight.
Still as a statue.
Cool and refreshing.
The water ripples and the pool is o longer still.
Water
We squirt each other until we're wet.
Drops of water fly through the air like bullets.
Then we hiff water bombs all around
and saturate anyone near like a goat in a storm.
then we're finished for the day, we go home, tomorrow we do the same thing again.
Lily
As I tramp down to the pond I feel a soft breeze sweeping across my face.
I see white cotton bud clouds float across the light blue sky.
I see the shape of ducks reflected in the water as they move along.
Brittany
As I take my jandals off to walk into the lake to get my kayak I see the reflection of the white candyfloss clouds in the luscious blue sky. Mud squishes up through my toes, I smel the wet mossy rocks and the dirty mud. dark green glossy leaves blow in the wind reflecting in the water.
Astyn
In my pond at home the reflections are of big tall trees and the morning sun. One morning I woke up and looked out of my window and saw the beautiful sight, it really impressed me, I felt touched, the sight was just beautiful.

I love your writing Room 1. You have used some wonderful vocabulary to add depth and meaning to your pieces.
