Homework Week Four

Have you checked our blog recently? There are some rather beautiful pieces of written work from you guys. Well done.

Last week we painted reflections in a pond. I would like you to write three reflections on any water that you have seen. You will need to summon up the water image from your memory. You will have to recall what first impressed you about the scene. Remember to use your senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, feel/touch.
The objective is to be poetic, beautiful, accurate and vivid.

Test your word power.
Each answer to the following clues ends with the word ‘row’. See if you can find all 15.
1) Another word for unhappiness
2) Front of the boat
3) Sherwood weapon
4) Rabbit home
5) A bird
6) Line made by a plough
7) Garden help
8) English bird
9) Vegetable
10) Thin, not very wide
11) To obtain on loan
12) In the very near future
13) Hurl
14) To increase in size
15) Enemy of the birds

Can you come up with any more?

The science challenge was interesting last week. There were some cool hypotheses (guesses) about how to preserve ice. BUT where was the research? The experiments? Evidence? Have another go this week.

Timetables 6x.

the big green and moldy pines reflect as big as the lake and the sun make the reflection lighter than the real thing, fluffy white clouds hover in the back ground.
